On May 16th the DAV participated as Sponsor in the Mai Bockfest from 12-5 PM in the Biergarten and Tent at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim. Previously celebrated as Mai- und Kinderfest, this event was an opportunity for the Los Angeles Clubs to meet. The Los Angeles Turners gathered there as well, and had a great time. The German-American School Association had their annual Book fair and Da Stube Buben (Jürgen and Reini from the Express Band) provided the music. The shooting Gallery was open and there were Folk dance presentations. Admission for adults was $8.00 and 16 years and under are free.
